Blame the Ball ("we," "us") provides roster and match management for the Capital District Over 30 Recreational Soccer League and its member teams. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

When you create an account or a team captain adds you to a roster, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and date of birth. We also keep a record of match RSVPs, team rosters, and match statistics you're associated with.

How We Use It

• To operate your account and show you your team's schedule, roster, and match results.
• To send you email notifications you're subscribed to (match reminders, captain messages, account activity).
• To send you text message reminders, but only for phone numbers you've personally verified and only for notification categories you've opted into on your Notification Preferences page.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in status with any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS/Text Messaging

Text reminders are opt-in: nothing is texted to a phone number until you verify it yourself via a one-time code, and you separately choose which reminder types (if any) go out by text on your Notification Preferences page. Message frequency depends on your match schedule and your own preferences. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to a text from us to stop receiving texts, or turn a category off (or all of them) on your Notification Preferences page — either one works. Reply HELP for help.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for the site to function and isn't used for advertising or tracking across other sites.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your information is kept for as long as your account or roster entry is active. You can ask a team captain or league admin to remove you from a roster, or contact us directly to request your data be deleted.
